TP-Link Omada EAP215-Bridge KIT for long-range 5GHz network links

The TP-Link EAP215-Bridge KIT is a pair of outdoor wireless bridges designed to carry a network connection between separate locations without installing a physical data cable across the full distance. It is well suited to linking buildings, remote CCTV equipment, offices, farms and other hard-to-wire network points.

The kit operates on 5GHz with wireless rates up to 867Mbps and supports point-to-point as well as point-to-multipoint bridge deployments. Signal indicators help with directional alignment, while Omada management provides additional configuration and monitoring options.

How It Works

The kit uses two directional bridge units. One connects by Ethernet to the main network and communicates wirelessly with the second bridge at the remote location. Ethernet devices can then connect to the bridge at the far end, effectively carrying the network connection across the wireless link.

The original kit supports automatic pairing, while signal-strength LEDs assist with positioning and alignment during installation.

Before You Buy

• The advertised maximum transmission distance and wireless rate are not guaranteed. Obstacles, interference, weather, network load and installation conditions can reduce both range and throughput.
• The locally documented version supports 12V DC and 24V Passive PoE. Passive PoE adapters are supplied with the kit.
• Pole-mounting accessories are included. Wall-mounting hardware is optional and should be purchased separately when required.
• Omada SDN centralised management requires a compatible Omada controller. Standalone management is also supported.
• Ethernet network cabling between each bridge and its local network equipment is required and is not listed as part of the supplied kit.
