Zartek ZA-PT3 – Multi-Platform PTT over Cellular Radio for Wide-Area Team Communication

The Zartek ZA-PT3 is a PTT over Cellular (PoC) two-way radio for teams that need push-to-talk communication across different sites or wider operating areas. It connects through 4G/LTE mobile data or Wi-Fi and supports GPS positioning, group and individual calling, Bluetooth and optional dispatcher functionality.

Unlike the ZA-PT2, the ZA-PT3 supports a choice of server platforms. It can be configured for ZartekPTT, REALPTT or another supported platform, allowing the communication service and billing model to be selected to suit your organisation.

Choose the Right Option

Every ZA-PT3 requires a compatible server platform and user account before PoC communication can be used.

• ZartekPTT: Choose the ZA-PLA ZartekPTT Platform Activation. This is a once-off activation per radio for the lifetime of that activated radio.
• REALPTT: Zartek also offers annual REALPTT platform service options, including services with or without a data SIM.
• Other supported platforms: The ZA-PT3 can be configured for other compatible server platforms where supported by the service provider.

Do not add ZA-PLA if the radio will be configured for REALPTT or another platform instead.

How It Works

The ZA-PT3 connects to the internet through a mobile-data SIM or Wi-Fi. Voice communication is carried through the selected PTT server platform rather than directly between radios over conventional radio frequencies.

Once the radios have been configured, users can communicate within selected groups or make individual calls. Compatible dispatcher software or applications can add central communication and monitoring functions such as radio GPS positions, historical location information and audio recordings.

A dispatcher map can therefore show where supported radios are located and their recorded movement history. This should not be confused with a cellular coverage map; communication depends on the mobile-data or Wi-Fi connection available to each radio.

• Choose your platform: Select ZartekPTT, REALPTT or another supported server platform.
• Create the radio account: Each ZA-PT3 requires its own user account on the selected platform.
• Add connectivity: Insert a suitable data SIM for mobile operation or connect the radio to Wi-Fi.
• Configure your groups: Radios can be assigned to the communication groups required by your team.
• Add dispatcher access if needed: A compatible dispatcher service can provide central communication and additional GPS-based monitoring functions.

Before You Buy

• The ZA-PT3 requires a compatible server platform and individual user account before PoC communication can be used.
• Platform activation or subscription is not included with the radio and must be selected separately.
• ZA-PLA is required only when ZartekPTT is selected; REALPTT uses separate annual service options.
• For cellular operation, the radio requires a suitable data SIM and available mobile-network coverage.
• Wi-Fi can be used where a suitable internet connection is available.
• SIM cards, mobile data, platform services and dispatcher services are sold separately unless specifically included in the selected service package.
• The ZA-PT3 is the standard model without NFC. Choose the separate ZA-PT3-NFC model if NFC tagging functionality is required.

Optional Webbing IoT SIM

Add a Webbing IoT SIM for convenient mobile data connectivity without a monthly SIM subscription. The SIM includes 2400 MB of data valid for up to two years and is designed for low-data connected devices such as PTT radios.

• Once-off purchase: The SIM and 2400 MB data bundle are paid for upfront, with no monthly or annual SIM subscription fees during the term.
• 2400 MB over two years: The included data remains available until it is used up or the two-year term expires, whichever happens first.
• Non-steering multi-network connectivity: The SIM can connect to supported Vodacom or MTN networks and automatically uses the strongest available supported network.
• Monitor your usage: A data-usage link is provided so you can keep track of the remaining data allowance.
• Renew when required: When the data is depleted or the two-year term ends, the SIM can be renewed online through Surveila Technologies without replacing the SIM card.
• Data only: The Webbing IoT SIM provides the mobile data connection for the radio; it does not replace the applicable Zartek PTT platform activation or service requirement.
