The MC210CS is intended for single-mode fibre and uses an SC fibre connection. Confirm that the fibre type, connectors and optical characteristics at both ends of the link are compatible before ordering.

For a link between two devices that only have copper Ethernet ports, a compatible media converter is required at each end. Two MC210CS units can be used together for a matching single-mode fibre link.

The converter is externally powered. A power adapter is included with the documented package contents.
