How It Works

The CPE610 uses its high-gain directional antenna to concentrate 5GHz wireless energy into a narrow beam. For a building-to-building link, radios are positioned and aligned towards one another with a suitable clear wireless path. Network data and operating power connect to the CPE through its passive PoE Ethernet connection.

• The network interface is one shielded 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, so wired throughput is limited by Fast Ethernet.
• The CPE uses 16-27V DC passive PoE via Ethernet pins +4/5 and -7/8; the supplied TP-Link passive PoE adapter provides the required power.
• Wireless speed and usable coverage depend on alignment, interference, obstructions, network conditions and the equipment at the other end of the connection.
