Commax wired video intercom kit for straightforward visitor screening | CDV-43K / DRC-4LN

The Commax CDV-43K / DRC-4LN combines a 4.3-inch colour indoor video monitor with a surface-mounted colour door camera for a practical single-entrance video intercom system. It lets you see and speak to a visitor before operating a connected electric door lock.

The CDV-43K uses a traditional handset for conversation while touch-sensitive controls provide quick access to monitoring, interphone, door-release and menu functions. At the entrance, the DRC-4LN provides colour video, built-in LED illumination for low-light conditions and an adjustable viewing angle.

See and speak to visitors before opening the door

  • 4.3-inch colour display: Provides a clear indoor view of the connected entrance camera.
  • Handset communication: Speak directly with visitors using the CDV-43K handset.
  • Touch-button controls: Gives the monitor a clean interface while keeping monitoring and door-release functions easy to access.
  • Low-light entrance viewing: The DRC-4LN includes an embedded LED that assists camera operation at night or in low-light conditions.
  • Adjustable camera coverage: A 68° horizontal and 50° vertical viewing angle is complemented by up to 13° upward angle adjustment.

Built for a simple wired entrance system

The kit uses a 4-wire polarity-sensitive connection between the CDV-43K monitor and DRC-4LN door camera. The door camera receives its 12 V DC supply from the monitor, reducing the need for a separate camera power supply.

The system can support up to 2 monitors, 1 door camera and 2 interphones, making it suitable where a second indoor answering point or additional audio interphones are required.

Check your wiring before installation

The CDV-43K requires a 100–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz supply. The connection between the monitor and door camera is polarity sensitive, so the four conductors must be wired correctly.

Supported monitor-to-camera distance depends on conductor diameter: up to 28 m with Ø0.5 mm cable, 50 m with Ø0.65 mm, 70 m with Ø0.8 mm and 115 m with Ø1 mm. A connected electric door lock uses a separate 2-wire connection from the door camera and is not included with the kit.
