R59,995.00 Incl. VAT
The BenQ AK700ST is a purpose-built 4K UHD short-throw laser projector for premium golf simulator installations, combining 4000 ANSI lumens, automated screen fitting and motorised lens control with serious movie and gaming capability.
- True 4K UHD: 3840 × 2160 resolution with 8.3 million pixels brings out fine course textures, ball detail and large-screen content.
- 0.69–0.83 short throw: designed to position the projector behind the golfer in suitable simulator layouts, reducing shadows and keeping it away from the swing area.
- Auto Screen Fit: quickly adapts the image for 16:9, 16:10, 4:3 and 1:1 impact screens.
- Motorised 1.2× optical zoom and Auto Focus: simplifies installation and adjustment without repeatedly accessing a ceiling-mounted projector.
- Golf, cinema and gaming: 95% Rec.709, dedicated Golf Mode, HDR10/HLG, eARC audio and input lag as low as 8.4 ms.
- Curved-screen support: image warping provides additional flexibility for immersive simulator installations.
Description
BenQ AK700ST – 4K golf simulation with a room that works after the round

The BenQ AK700ST moves beyond a conventional golf projector by combining true 4K UHD detail, 4000 ANSI lumens and a short-throw motorised lens with automated setup tools designed around simulator installations.
Its real advantage is versatility. During a round it can fill a large impact screen with detailed, natural-looking golf imagery; afterwards the same room can become a 4K cinema, sports screen or responsive gaming space.
See the course in true 4K detail
With a native resolution of 3840 × 2160, the AK700ST puts 8.3 million pixels on screen. On a large simulator screen that extra resolution helps reveal finer grass, bunker and terrain detail, while also giving movies and other 4K content considerably more definition than a Full HD projector.
BenQ’s dedicated Golf Mode is designed around the natural colours found on a course, while 95% Rec.709 coverage provides a strong colour foundation for both golf simulation and entertainment.
Built around the hitting area, not in the way of it
The 0.69–0.83 short-throw ratio is particularly useful in a simulator because it allows the projector to create a large image from comparatively close to the impact screen. In suitable room layouts this allows the projector to sit behind the golfer, helping reduce shadows while keeping it away from the normal swing path.
A 1.2× motorised optical zoom provides further flexibility when matching the projector position to the available screen size. Auto Focus lets you sharpen the image electronically rather than climbing up to adjust the lens manually.
Let the projector fit itself to your impact screen
Golf impact screens do not always use a conventional 16:9 shape. Auto Screen Fit allows the AK700ST to adapt the projected image to 16:9, 16:10, 4:3 or 1:1 screen formats, helping make better use of the available impact area.
3D keystone correction and Corner Fit provide additional image-alignment tools for installations where the projector cannot be positioned perfectly square to the screen.
Go wider with a curved simulator screen
For more immersive installations, the AK700ST supports image warping with selectable 5 × 3, 10 × 5, 15 × 9 and 24 × 15 adjustment matrices. This makes it possible to compensate the image for compatible curved-screen layouts rather than limiting the projector to a conventional flat screen.
Important: Auto Screen Fit, Auto Focus, Corner Fit and keystone adjustment are unavailable while warping is enabled. Warping is also unavailable when Screen Fill is set to 16:10, 4:3 or 1:1.
4000 ANSI lumens for a practical simulator room
The AK700ST produces 4000 ANSI lumens, giving it the brightness needed for large simulator images without requiring a completely dark room. That is useful where some lighting needs to remain on around the golfer or seating area.
The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours in Normal mode, while the projector’s IP5X dust-protection rating helps make it a practical option for dedicated simulator rooms and garage-style installations where dust is a genuine consideration.
Simulator by Day, Cinema by Night
The AK700ST is not limited to golf. Its 4K resolution, entertainment picture modes and audio connectivity allow the same simulator room to become a big-screen cinema, sports room or gaming setup when the clubs are put away.
- Cinema Mode and 95% Rec.709: provide detailed, natural-looking colour for films, series and other large-screen entertainment.
- HDR10 and HLG: expand its usefulness for compatible HDR movies and live broadcast content.
- HDMI eARC: supports audio return of up to 7.1 channels to a compatible soundbar or AV system.
- Low input lag: as low as 8.4 ms at 1080p 240 Hz, 16.7 ms at 1080p 120 Hz and 33.4 ms at 4K 60 Hz for responsive PC and console gaming.
For a dedicated simulator room, that means one projector can support the golf setup as well as movie nights, live sport and big-screen gaming.
Plan your installation before mounting
The AK700ST is designed to work as part of a complete simulator system. Your impact screen, launch monitor, golf simulator computer, software and mounting hardware are separate components unless supplied as part of a separate bundle.
The projector provides two HDMI 2.0b inputs, two USB Type-A ports, USB-C DisplayPort input and RS-232 control. The optional BenQ EZC-5201BS wireless USB dongle and universal ceiling mount are sold separately.
For permanent installations, confirm the required image size, aspect ratio, projector position and throw distance before mounting. Curved-screen users should also account for the operating limitations of Warping Mode described above.
