BenQ AH700ST 4000 ANSI Lumens Short Throw 1080p Golf Simulator Laser Projector
R45,495.00 Incl. VAT
The BenQ AH700ST is a purpose-built 1080p laser golf simulator projector combining 4000 ANSI lumens, short-throw projection and automated screen alignment for home and commercial simulator bays.
- 4000 ANSI lumens: bright, clear projection suited to simulator spaces where some ambient light is present.
- Short-throw 0.69–0.83 lens: helps position the projector behind the hitting area while reducing shadows across the impact screen.
- Auto Screen Fit: quickly adapts the projected image for 16:9, 16:10, 4:3 and 1:1 screen formats.
- Motorised 1.2× optical zoom and Quick Focus: simplifies installation and fine adjustment without repeatedly accessing the projector.
- Golf Mode with 95% Rec.709: tuned to reproduce natural fairway, rough and bunker colours while remaining useful for movies, sport and gaming.
- Laser light source and IP5X dust protection: designed for low-maintenance operation in simulator rooms, garages and similar indoor spaces.
Description
BenQ AH700ST – a 1080p laser projector built around the golf simulator screen

The BenQ AH700ST is designed specifically for golf simulation, where projector placement, screen shape and ambient light can make the difference between a convincing simulator and a frustrating installation. Its combination of 4000 ANSI lumens, a 0.69–0.83 short-throw lens and automated screen fitting makes it particularly well suited to dedicated home simulator rooms, garages, golf studios and commercial bays.
Rather than forcing every simulator screen into a conventional 16:9 image, the AH700ST can adapt to several common screen formats, while motorised zoom and Quick Focus make final alignment easier from the remote control.
Designed to keep the image on the screen and the projector out of your swing
A short-throw projector is especially useful in golf simulation because it can produce a large image from a relatively short distance. The AH700ST’s 0.69–0.83 throw ratio allows it to be positioned closer to the impact screen and, in suitable installations, behind the golfer. This helps reduce shadows over the projected course and keeps the projector away from the main hitting area.
The 1.2× motorised optical zoom gives the installer additional flexibility when matching the projected image to the available screen width.
Auto Screen Fit takes the pain out of awkward simulator screens
Golf impact screens are not always conventional television shapes. The AH700ST’s Auto Screen Fit system can automatically adapt the image for 16:9, 16:10, 4:3 and 1:1 screen formats, making it easier to use more of the available impact-screen area.
Quick Focus, motorised zoom and image-adjustment functions further reduce the amount of manual setup required when the projector is ceiling mounted or otherwise difficult to reach.
4000 ANSI lumens with colours tuned for golf
With 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness, the AH700ST is designed to maintain a strong image in simulator spaces that cannot be completely darkened. BenQ’s dedicated Golf Mode is tuned to reproduce the greens, earth tones and bunker colours commonly seen in golf simulation software.
The projector covers 95% of Rec.709 and also includes Cinema, Game, HDR10, HLG and other picture modes, so the simulator room can double as an entertainment or gaming space when the clubs are put away.
Simulator by Day, Cinema by Night
The AH700ST does not have to sit idle when the golf session is over. Its picture modes, colour performance and entertainment-friendly connectivity allow the same simulator room to double as a home cinema or gaming space.
- Cinema Mode with 95% Rec.709 coverage: delivers natural, accurate colour for films, series and sport on the same large projection screen used for golf.
- HDMI eARC audio: sends high-quality audio, including support for up to 7.1 channels, to a compatible soundbar or AV system without needing a separate audio connection from the projector.
- Low input lag: response drops to 16.7 ms at 1080p 120 Hz, making the AH700ST well suited to console and PC gaming as well as golf simulation.
For a dedicated simulator room, that means one installation can serve three roles: golf simulator, big-screen gaming setup and home entertainment display.
Built for long simulator sessions
- Laser light source: rated for 20,000 hours in normal operation, avoiding conventional lamp replacements.
- IP5X dust protection: helps protect the optical system in environments such as garages and dedicated simulator rooms.
- Low input lag: 16.7 ms at 1080p 120 Hz or 33.4 ms at 1080p 60 Hz.
- Integrated 10 W speaker: useful for straightforward standalone audio, with HDMI eARC available for compatible external audio systems.
Plan your simulator setup before installation
The AH700ST has a native resolution of 1920 × 1080 and is intended for Full HD projection. Your golf simulator PC, launch monitor and simulation software are separate components and should be selected according to the software and simulator system you intend to use.
The projector provides two HDMI 2.0b inputs, USB connectivity and USB-C DisplayPort input. A ceiling mount is optional and sold separately. BenQ’s compatible EZC-5201BS wireless USB dongle is also an optional accessory and is not included as standard.
For permanent simulator installations, confirm the required screen dimensions, projector position and throw distance before fitting the ceiling mount.
