Description
TP-Link EAP783 BE19000 Wi-Fi 7 Access Point for High-Capacity Omada Networks
The TP-Link EAP783 is a ceiling- or wall-mounted tri-band Wi-Fi 7 access point built for networks where ordinary Gigabit access points can become a bottleneck. It combines 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz wireless operation with two 10G Ethernet ports, making it well suited to offices, education, hospitality and other demanding multi-user environments.
For compatible Wi-Fi 7 devices, technologies such as Multi-Link Operation, 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM can improve wireless capacity and performance. The EAP783 can also form part of a centrally managed TP-Link Omada network.
Is This Right for You?
- Choose the EAP783 when you need a high-capacity indoor access point and have network infrastructure capable of making useful use of its 10G Ethernet connectivity.
- It is particularly useful where newer 6 GHz and Wi-Fi 7 clients need to be supported alongside existing 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz devices.
- For managed multi-AP deployments, Omada SDN provides centralised configuration and features including Mesh and seamless roaming.
- If your network is limited to Gigabit Ethernet or does not require 6 GHz connectivity, a lower-tier access point may provide better value.
Why Choose This Product?
- Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 performance: The South African BE19000 version provides theoretical signal rates of up to 11520 Mbps on 6 GHz, 5760 Mbps on 5 GHz and 1376 Mbps on 2.4 GHz.
- Two 10G Ethernet ports: Multi-gigabit wired connectivity helps avoid restricting a high-performance wireless network to a conventional 1Gbps uplink.
- Wi-Fi 7 efficiency: Multi-Link Operation, Multi-RUs, 4K-QAM and 320 MHz operation are designed to improve performance and utilisation when paired with compatible client devices.
- Built for busy networks: TP-Link specifies support for up to 640 concurrent wireless clients, although real-world capacity depends on traffic, client devices and the wireless environment.
- Omada integration: Centralised management makes it easier to configure and maintain multiple access points, switches and gateways from the Omada platform.
- Flexible mounting and power: Ceiling and wall mounting hardware is included, while the access point can be powered using 802.3bt PoE++ or 12V DC.
Before You Buy
- The EAP783 is an access point rather than an internet router or modem. It must connect to suitable wired network infrastructure.
- 802.3bt PoE++ is supported. Alternatively, the unit accepts 12V DC power, but TP-Link does not include the DC power adapter.
- To take full advantage of the two 10G Ethernet interfaces, use compatible multi-gigabit switching, cabling and network equipment.
- Wi-Fi 7 functions such as 6 GHz operation, Multi-Link Operation, 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM require compatible client devices and may also be subject to regional regulatory restrictions.
- Omada Mesh, seamless roaming, captive portal and cloud access require a compatible Omada SDN controller.
- The manufacturer’s 200 m² coverage figure is based on laboratory testing; actual coverage varies with walls, interference, client hardware, installation position and other environmental conditions.
