The EZVIZ HB8 Lite combines a rechargeable battery, motorised pan and tilt, 4MP video and smart detection in an outdoor camera that does not need permanent power wiring. It is suited to entrances, driveways, yards and other areas where a conventional wired camera would be inconvenient.

Always-On Video Mode 2.0 gives the camera a more complete view of activity throughout the day, while human and vehicle detection, human smart tracking, colour night vision and active defence make it more useful as a practical security camera rather than a basic motion-triggered viewer.

Is This Right for You?

Choose the HB8 Lite when the installation area has reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi but convenient mains power is unavailable. Its 5,200 mAh rechargeable battery reduces wiring requirements, and compatible EZVIZ Type-C solar panels can be added separately to reduce manual recharging.

This specific CS-HB8c-R100-1N4WFL model is Wi-Fi only. If the camera must operate at a remote location without Wi-Fi, a separate EZVIZ 4G camera model is required.

How It Works

Always-On Video Mode 2.0 can capture images at preset intervals to build a continuous view of the day, then switch to normal-speed video when activity is detected. A compatible microSD card must be installed for this local AOV recording function.

Battery runtime depends heavily on the recording mode and activity level. Under standard test conditions, battery life can reach approximately 108 days in standard PIR-triggered operation at five minutes of use per day, while AOV auto-interval operation is rated at approximately 15 days. Adding a compatible Type-C solar panel is therefore particularly useful for installations where AOV is used regularly.
