Duke Standard Irritant Projectiles contain a balanced formulation of 1% Nonivamide (PAVA) and 1% CS (2-chlorobenzalmalonitrile). Upon impact the projectile ruptures and releases the irritant affecting the eyes sinuses skin and to a slightly lesser degree the respiratory system.

This combination provides strong area-effect deterrence with extreme saturation making it suitable for open or semi-open environments where broader coverage is required.
