Zartek TX-1 Twin Pack – ultra-compact licence-free two-way radios for everyday communication

The Zartek TX-1 Twin Pack provides two small, lightweight UHF radios for short- to long-range communication without cellular airtime or a radio licence when used on their factory-programmed licence-free 446 MHz settings. They are well suited to events, warehouses, hospitality, outdoor activities and teams that need simple push-to-talk communication.

Each radio has 16 pre-programmed channels, a screen showing the selected channel and battery level, two push-to-talk buttons and direct USB-C charging. The twin pack includes both radios and the essential rechargeable accessories needed to get started.

Choose the TX-1 if portability is a priority. Its ultra-compact format makes it easier to carry throughout a shift or activity than larger professional handheld radios, while retaining a 500 mW licence-free UHF transmitter and external microphone/speaker connection.

The TX-1 is particularly useful when two users need a ready-made pair. It is also factory-programmed to communicate directly with the Zartek TX-2 across all 16 channels and with selected other Zartek licence-free radios on their first 11 matching channels.

Radio range varies considerably with buildings, terrain, elevation and interference. Zartek states approximately 600 m–1.2 km indoors, 2–6 km outdoors and 10–30 km in elevated line-of-sight conditions.

Before You Buy

The TX-1 is supplied as a twin pack containing two radios. For normal communication between the two included radios, use matching channel settings.

For communication with other radio models, frequency and CTCSS/DCS settings must match. The TX-1 is factory-programmed for all 16 TX-2 channels and the first 11 channels of the Zartek TX-8, ZA-720, ZA-721, ZA-723, ZA-748, ZA-725 and ZA-758. Other configurations may require programming.

The optional Zartek GE-254 two-pin programming cable is required for PC programming and is sold separately.

Important: the manufacturer’s manual states that the TX-1 is not splash-proof or water-resistant. Keep the radios protected from rain, splashes and other moisture.
