Zartek ZA-DIS – Once-Off Dispatcher Software for ZartekPTT Radio Systems

The Zartek ZA-DIS is the dispatcher component of a ZartekPTT PoC radio system. It is intended for organisations that want a central operator or control-room function in addition to normal communication between their PTT radios.

ZA-DIS is separate from the ZA-PLA platform fee. ZA-PLA activates individual radios on ZartekPTT, while ZA-DIS adds the dispatcher function used to oversee and communicate with radios through the supported dispatcher interface.

Choose the Right Option

• ZA-PLA: The once-off ZartekPTT platform activation applied per radio. For ZA-PT2 radios, each radio requires its applicable ZartekPTT activation.
• ZA-DIS: The separate once-off dispatcher software fee for organisations that require a central dispatcher or control-room function.
• REALPTT services: REALPTT uses separate annual platform and dispatcher service products and should not be confused with the once-off ZartekPTT ZA-DIS service.

ZA-DIS is suited to security control rooms, operations centres, fleet coordinators and other organisations that need more than radio-to-radio PTT communication. Zartek describes its dispatcher options as providing GPS tracking and enhanced communication through a cloud login.

If your users only require communication between their activated radios and you do not require a central dispatcher function, ZA-DIS may not be necessary.

How It Works

Compatible radios connect to their selected PoC platform through mobile data or Wi-Fi. ZA-DIS adds the dispatcher layer to a ZartekPTT system so an authorised operator can use the supported dispatcher interface alongside the connected radios.

This is different from radio activation. Adding dispatcher access does not replace the platform activation or internet connectivity required by the individual radios.
