The Zartek ZA-138 combines a powerful 1500 lm XHP 50 LED with a zoomable flood-to-spot beam in a compact aluminium headlamp. It is designed for demanding hands-free lighting applications including security work, mining, camping, hiking, fishing, repairs and general outdoor use.

Rather than offering maximum brightness only, the ZA-138 gives you High, Medium and Low output levels so you can choose between stronger illumination, longer runtime and the beam distance needed for the job. A separate Strobe mode is also available.

Lighting Modes, Runtime & Beam Distance

Zartek states that the published performance specifications below are ANSI tested by the manufacturer. The different settings make it easier to choose maximum brightness when needed or reduce output to extend battery runtime.

How to Use the Lighting Modes

The control button is positioned on the side of the front lamp unit. Press the button repeatedly to cycle through High → Medium → Low → Off. Zartek specifies a long press to activate Strobe mode, followed by another press to exit.

The zoom function lets you change between a wider flood beam for illuminating a broader nearby area and a more concentrated spot beam when you need to see further ahead. The lamp can also be adjusted through approximately 120° vertically to direct the light where it is needed.

• The maximum 150 m beam-distance figure applies to High mode according to Zartek’s published performance table.
• Zartek specifies IP66 environmental protection. This is suitable for exposure to rain but is not an immersion rating.
