The TP-Link TL-MR3420 lets you turn a compatible 3G/4G USB modem into a shared Wi-Fi connection while also supporting a conventional Ethernet WAN connection. It is suited to homes and small offices that need straightforward wireless internet sharing or an alternative connection path.

Wireless N provides speeds up to 300Mbps on 2.4GHz, while four Fast Ethernet LAN ports support wired computers, televisions and other network equipment.

• The TL-MR3420 does not contain a built-in cellular modem or SIM-card slot. Mobile broadband requires a separate compatible 3G/4G USB modem and active mobile data service.
• TP-Link states that 4G LTE modem compatibility applies to TL-MR3420 hardware Version 2.0 and above. Confirm the supplied hardware version and USB modem compatibility before purchase where LTE operation is required.
• The Ethernet WAN and LAN interfaces are 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet rather than Gigabit Ethernet.
• The router uses 2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi; it does not provide 5GHz Wi-Fi.
