Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery Advantages

Lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) offer many benefits compared to other lithium batteries, lead-acid, gel and deep cycle batteries; Longer life span, no maintenance, extremely safe, lightweight, improved discharge and charge efficiency, built-in battery management system (BMS) just to name a few.

Lifespan

Lithium iron phosphate batteries have a high life cycle (over 3000 @ 80% Depth of Discharge) without a decrease in performance. LifePO4 batteries show no memory effects and due to low self-discharge (<3% per month), they can be stored for a longer period of time.

High Efficiency

Lithium iron phosphate batteries (LiFePO4) have 100% of their capacity available. Additionally, their fast charge and discharge rates cause them to be a great fit for all sorts of applications. Fast charging reduces any downtime and increases efficiency. High discharge pulse currents deliver bursts of power in a short amount of time.

Field Tests

It has been determined that Lithium batteries do not charge in IDS alarm systems and Sherlo battery backup PSU’s and some UPS’s.

Note: Securi-Prod Lithium (LiFePO4) batteries are manufactured with F2 (6.35mm) spades which are larger than our standard F1 (4.75mm) sockets in gate motors, alarm systems, battery chargers etc. Step down terminal adapters are required. Our batteries include the F2 to F1 adapters
