The Commax CDV-70QT / DRC-4PIP combines a large full-touch indoor monitor with a robust flush-mounted outdoor door station. It is designed for users who want conventional wired video intercom reliability together with the convenience of smartphone access.
From the indoor monitor you can see and communicate with visitors, monitor connected cameras and control a compatible door release. Wi-Fi connectivity extends key functions to your smartphone, making the system particularly useful for homes, offices and entrances where you may not always be close to the monitor.
Answer the door from the monitor or your smartphone
The 7-inch CDV-70QT uses a full-touch LCD interface with a 1024 × 600 display. When connected to Wi-Fi, the system supports smartphone video calls and door-release control through the compatible mobile app.
Motion detection adds another useful layer of monitoring. The monitor can save visitor images and video, with built-in storage for up to 50 images at 640 × 360 and memory-card expansion up to 128 GB.
More than a single-camera doorbell
The CDV-70QT can form the centre of a broader entrance-monitoring system. It supports up to two 1.0 MP AHD door cameras as well as two additional CCTV camera inputs, giving you the option to monitor more than the main entrance.
Magnetic-sensor inputs can also be integrated for security monitoring and mobile alarm functions. The Commax DP-4VHP audio phone is a compatible expansion option when an additional internal audio point is required.
A tougher door station for exposed entrances
The included DRC-4PIP door camera is designed for flush mounting and uses a cast-aluminium housing with an IP65 environmental rating. Its wide-angle lens helps cover the entrance area, while an illumination sensor and built-in IR LEDs provide visibility in low-light conditions.
The door station is powered from the monitor through the wired connection, keeping the outdoor installation integrated with the main intercom system.
Check your installation before ordering
- The CDV-70QT indoor monitor is wall mounted and requires mains power.
- Smartphone features require connection to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and compatible mobile-app setup.
- The DRC-4PIP is a flush-mounted door station, so the installation position must accommodate recessed mounting.
- A compatible memory card up to 128 GB is required for expanded recording storage and is sold separately.
- Electric door-lock hardware, magnetic sensors, additional cameras and expansion handsets are not part of the confirmed kit contents and should be selected separately where required.
