Byrna SD Launcher | .68 Cal – Personal Defence Device

The Byrna SD Launcher delivers a balanced blend of accuracy, portability and stopping-power in a licence-free, non-lethal platform. Built with an ergonomic honeycomb grip and an enhanced sight system, it uses replaceable power cartridges and is well suited to home and personal-defence needs where dependable, non-lethal performance is required.

The Byrna SD is the successor to Byrna HD and has re-engineered for optimal performance which include upgraded sights, a honeycomb grip and a modified straight trigger

a three-blade sight,

rubber honeycomb grip for better grip retention, even when wet,

an external ambidextrous safety lever that can easily be switched between safe and fire mode,

a breech indicator at the top which not only indicates a projectile in the chamber but allows the projectile to be ejected ensuring the launcher is clear

standard Picatinny rail for mounting of accessories

The body is manufactured from glass filled nylon polymer and designed with similarities of a semi-automatic pistol. The projectiles are fed into the Byrna SD / XL by utilising interchangeable 5-round and optional 7-round magazines.

The SD operates on replaceable 8-gram power cartridges delivering consistent performance and on-demand readiness through Byrna’s patented Pull-Pierce Technology.

Compatibility & Accessories

The Byrna SD is designed for use only with .68 rounds and accessories. It is not compatible with Byrna CL .61 rounds.

Additional accessories including holsters, spare magazines, training rounds and carry options are sold separately.
