The Zartek ZA-722 is a compact, rechargeable 16-channel UHF two-way radio designed for straightforward communication without mobile network coverage or airtime costs. Operating at 500 mW on the licence-free 446 MHz band, it combines clear audio, a durable lightweight design and convenient USB charging. Choose between a Single Pack or Dual Pack to suit your requirements.

Zartek ZA-722 Compact 16-Channel Licence-Free Two-Way Radio
The Zartek ZA-722 is a compact UHF two-way radio designed for clear, convenient communication between individuals and teams. Its lightweight construction, simple controls and rechargeable battery make it well suited to everyday communication at workplaces, events, properties and outdoor activities where mobile phone calls are not always practical.
Operating at 500 mW on the licence-free 446 MHz UHF band, the ZA-722 provides 16 pre-programmed channels across eight frequencies. Channel voice announcements help users select channels without a display, while its clear speaker audio, low-battery warnings and straightforward push-to-talk operation keep communication simple.
The radio supports VOX hands-free operation, channel scanning and optional PC programming. With 50 CTCSS and 208 DCS tone options, compatible radios can be configured to filter unwanted conversations on shared frequencies. These tones do not encrypt conversations or prevent other users from receiving transmissions.
The rechargeable 1000 mAh lithium-ion battery provides approximately 15 hours of average operating time under the manufacturer’s specified 5:5:90 duty cycle, with battery saving enabled and medium volume. Actual battery life depends on transmission activity, volume and operating conditions.
Zartek estimates an outdoor communication range of approximately 2–6 km in favourable conditions, with longer distances possible from elevated positions with clear line of sight. Buildings, terrain, vegetation and interference can significantly reduce the available range.
USB Charging and Optional Charging Accessories
The ZA-722 supports two charging methods. You can connect the supplied USB cable directly to the radio’s charging port, or place the radio in a compatible desktop charging stand connected to a USB power supply.
Both methods require a standard 5V DC, 1A USB power source, with a full charge taking approximately 3 hours. A USB mains adaptor is not included with either pack option.
For convenient charging from a wall socket, the Zartek LM-601 USB Mains Charger – 5V 1A is available separately. It provides a suitable mains-powered USB supply for the ZA-722 charging arrangements.
The Single Pack includes one desktop charging stand, allowing the supplied radio to be charged upright using its USB cable and a suitable USB power source.
The Dual Pack does not include desktop charging stands. Both radios can be charged directly using their supplied USB cables. Customers who prefer desktop charging can purchase the Zartek GE-328 Desk Charging Stand separately, choosing one or two stands depending on their charging requirements.
The LM-601 mains adaptor and GE-328 charging stand are separate accessories. Purchasing a GE-328 does not automatically include a USB mains adaptor.
Communication with Other Zartek Radios
The ZA-722 is factory-programmed to communicate with Zartek TX-1 and TX-2 radios on all 16 corresponding channels. It also supports communication on the first 11 matching factory channels of selected Zartek TX-8, ZA-720, ZA-721, ZA-723, ZA-748, ZA-725 and ZA-758 radios.
For reliable communication between different models, the channel frequency and CTCSS/DCS tone settings must match. Communication compatibility does not mean that batteries, charging stands or other physical accessories are interchangeable.

Compatible Radio Communication
The ZA-722 is factory-programmed for communication with the following Zartek radios when matching channel and tone settings are used:
- TX-1 and TX-2: All 16 corresponding factory channels.
- TX-8, ZA-720, ZA-721, ZA-723, ZA-748, ZA-725 and ZA-758: First 11 matching factory channels.
Radio-to-radio communication compatibility does not establish compatibility between different models' batteries, charging cradles, headsets or other physical accessories.
