IMOU N118W / NVR-N118W-8A0E — an 18-channel recorder built for flexible wired and wireless CCTV

The IMOU N118W gives larger home, office and small-business camera systems room to grow, supporting up to 18 channels while allowing cameras to connect over Ethernet or Wi-Fi. Four external antennas and dual-band Wi-Fi 6 help make wireless camera deployment practical without giving up conventional network connectivity.

It is particularly well suited to an IMOU-based system: compatible IMOU cameras can pair automatically, the recorder can be managed through the IMOU Life app, and footage can be stored locally on a SATA hard drive with capacity up to 16 TB.

Please note: This product listing is for the IMOU N118W 18-channel model. The 10-channel N110W is not currently available.

18 channels without locking you into one connection method

The N118W supports up to 18 camera channels, giving you considerably more expansion room than a typical small residential recorder. Cameras can be brought into the system over the wired network or through the NVR’s built-in dual-band Wi-Fi.

This makes it useful where some camera positions are easy to cable while others are better served wirelessly. Maximum inbound bandwidth is 90 Mbps.

Designed to make IMOU camera setup easier

Compatible IMOU cameras support automatic pairing with the N118W, reducing the configuration normally required when adding cameras to a recorder. Once connected, the system can also be added to the IMOU Life app for remote access and camera management from a compatible iOS or Android device.

The recorder also supports ONVIF Profile T integration, providing an option for compatible third-party network cameras where an all-IMOU installation is not required.

Wi-Fi 6 with four external antennas

Four external antennas work with dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 to provide a more flexible wireless connection for compatible cameras. This is especially useful where running network cabling to every camera position is difficult.

For installations where a wired network is preferred, the NVR also includes a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet interface.

Supports both HDMI and VGA outputs for flexible display options — enjoy sharp, detailed footage on any monitor.

Review footage directly or remotely

Connect a monitor or television through HDMI for output up to 4K UHD, or use the VGA connection where required. The recorder supports simultaneous four-channel playback at up to 4 × 8 MP at 15 fps or 4 × 5 MP at 30 fps.

Playback can be accelerated at 2×, 4×, 8× or 16× to make reviewing longer periods of recorded footage faster.

Two-way audio without separate NVR audio hardware

A microphone and speaker are built directly into the recorder, allowing supported two-way audio operation without adding a separate microphone or speaker to the NVR itself.

Up to 16 TB of local recording storage

The N118W has one SATA hard-drive interface supporting storage capacity up to 16 TB. H.265 and H.264 video compression are supported, with H.265 helping reduce storage and bandwidth requirements compared with older compression methods.

The hard drive is sold separately, so choose the required recording capacity as part of your installation planning.
