Ajax Hub 2 Plus

Ajax Hub 2 Plus is smart, tamperproof and ready to work out the box. It set up is using the Ajax mobile app for Android and iOS devices and includes a power supply, battery, WiFi, Ethernet port and two LTE SIM slots all smartly integrated into the compact control panel enclosure.

Setting up the system is a breeze. Simply connect the hub to power and internet, scan the hub and device QR codes using the Ajax mobile app and the system ready to use.

Ajax Hub 2 Plus Features

Always connected — via cable and cellular networks

Communication with the outside world is critical for the security system control panel. Its reliability and stability guarantee timely alarm transmission to the armed response companies and users.

Ajax Hub 2 Plus can be simultaneously connected to three Internet service providers — via Ethernet cable and 2G, 3G and LTE 2 cellular networks. The automatic switching between channels takes seconds.

Controlled with apps

Ajax refrained from control buttons on the control panel body and archaic interfaces, apps are more convenient and reliable. They connect to a hub via a secure channel through the Ajax Cloud server located in several AWS data centres. Server availability in 2021 was 99.995%.

Apps allow system users with administrator rights to manage the security of the facility, change settings of the hub and the devices connected to it, create scenarios, and monitor events. From a smartphone or a PC. On the site and remotely.

Ajax Mobile App Download:

Hub control panels are set up using the Ajax mobile app for Android and iOS devices. Wireless devices are paired to the Hub by scanning their QR Codes, no programming or technical skills required!!

Alarm photo verification in 9 seconds

Hub 2 Plus is compatible MotionCam Indoor & Outdoor detectors. When motion is detected, they take a series of photos of the cause of the alarm activation and deliver them to your phone/s. Visual verification helps users instantly assess the situation relieving them of unnecessary anxiety.

Automates Security

Ajax Scenarios are automation routines that allow users to configure how their Ajax security system responds to various events. Scenarios enable the hub to automatically arm / disarm the system or groups, control geysers and pool pumps by schedule, turn on outdoor lights or trigger smoke machines on when the alarm is triggered, shut off water when a water leak is detected, control electric locks and roller shutters by Button press and turn router and appliances off when arming the system.

Future-proof

Hub 2 Plus runs OS Malevich — a real-time operating system developed by Ajax Systems. OS Malevich is extremely stable, immune to viruses, and protected from cyberattacks. Modular architecture simplifies the constant upgrading of OS Malevich.

Hub receives new features several times a year with over-the-air updates. The update process is automatic and takes minutes when the security system is disarmed. The hardware configuration will allow Hub 2 Plus to evolve and remain relevant for years to come.

Armed Response Linkup

Via Cloud – There are hundreds of South African armed response companies that have the Ajax software installed on their monitoring systems. You will find a list of these companies on the Ajax mobile app. If the company of your choice is not on the list, Contact Us with the Company Name, Contact Person and Location so that we can refer them to our Ajax support team.

Via Ajax Hardware – Should your armed response company not be Ajax ready, an Ajax vhfBridge is can be used to connect to their radio transmitter. Alternatively two Ajax Relays can be connected, one for alarm and one for panic.

Hub PSU (Power Supply Unit)

Ajax Hub has a built-in 220v PSU including a battery for backup. However should you want to install the Hub in yachts, caravans, building sites or properties where no 220v power is available, the 220v PSU can be easily replaced with an Ajax 12/24v PSU for a low voltage power feed and Solar setup.

SIM Card Options and Recommended Use

Ajax Hubs require an internet connection for remote communication with system users and armed response services. Each hub includes SIM card slots that can be used either as a backup to a fixed internet connection or as GSM-only connectivity where no internet connection is available.

We offer two SIM card options depending on your installation requirements. Select the appropriate option below to view the product page.

Justworx SIM card

Suitable for use as a backup to an existing internet connection.

• Recommended where Ethernet or Wi-Fi is available
• Provides cellular failover in the event of internet failure
• SIM includes data – select the required data bundle during activation on the Justworx portal

Webbing IoT SIM card

Recommended for GSM-only connectivity, particularly for systems with no fixed internet connection.

• Suitable for primary cellular communication
• Non-steering connectivity on Vodacom and MTN networks
• SIM includes data: 2400 MB valid for 24 months (approximately 100 MB per month)
• SIM Activation – select option to Pre-Activate or activate online as and when required.
