System Functionality

Energizer Arming / Disarming

An Ajax Relay is wired to the energizer’s On/Off switch, allowing you to arm or disarm the fence remotely through the Ajax app.

Fence Alarm Notifications

An Ajax DoorProtect or Ajax Transmitter connects to the energizer’s Siren/Strobe output via a single-pole protection relay. When the fence alarm triggers, the Ajax device immediately sends alerts to your phone.

Why the additional relay?
The single-pole relay isolates and protects Ajax devices from energizer voltage spikes, ensuring long-term reliability.

Choosing the Right Ajax Device

Ajax DoorProtect

• Uses 1 × CR123A battery
• Wired terminals on the back of the unit
• Best when the energizer is installed indoors (garage/house)
• Compact solution for most installations

Ajax Transmitter

• Uses 3 × CR123A batteries
• Designed for longer transmission distances to the Ajax Hub
• Ideal when energizer is mounted outside or along boundary walls
• Built-in tamper input allows protection of the enclosure lid/door

Choose DoorProtect for standard installs and Transmitter for outdoor/long-range applications or where tamper protection is needed.
