Night-time surveillance is more useful when the footage preserves the colours of clothing, vehicles and surrounding objects. The Tiandy TC-C32QV 2FNA-28 is designed around that requirement, combining a highly light-sensitive F1.0 lens with Polar Day colour imaging and integrated white-light illumination. It is a practical choice for a wired CCTV installation where a wide field of view and useful colour detail after dark are priorities.

The camera uses a 1/2.9-inch CMOS sensor to produce 1920 × 1080 Full HD video at up to 30 frames per second. Its rated minimum colour illumination is just 0.0002 lux at F1.0 with automatic gain control enabled, allowing the sensor to make use of extremely low ambient light levels.

When additional illumination is needed, two built-in white LEDs provide light over a manufacturer-rated distance of up to 15 metres. Unlike conventional infrared illumination, white light supports colour imaging while also producing visible illumination in the monitored area. Actual colour detail will depend on the available light, subject distance and installation conditions.

A Wide 2.8mm View for Entrances and Open Areas

The fixed 2.8mm lens gives the TC-C32QV a 99° horizontal field of view, together with 53.4° vertical and 116.3° diagonal coverage. This makes the camera particularly useful where the installer needs to observe a broad section of a driveway, building entrance, parking area or perimeter without using a narrow-angle lens.

The trade-off with a wide lens is the amount of detail available on distant objects. Tiandy specifies DORI reference distances of 40 metres for detection, 15.9 metres for observation, 8 metres for recognition and 4 metres for identification. These figures describe different levels of image detail under reference conditions, rather than guaranteed identification distances in every installation.

For monitoring activity across a broad foreground area, the 2.8mm version offers a useful viewing angle. Where the priority is identifying people or objects at greater distances, camera placement and a narrower lens may be more appropriate.

Image-processing features include temporal wide dynamic range (TWDR), backlight compensation, highlight compensation, automatic gain control and 3D digital noise reduction. These help manage changing lighting conditions, bright highlights and image noise. Defog processing and adjustable white balance provide additional flexibility when configuring the scene.

Network Recording and Straightforward PoE Installation

The TC-C32QV is a wired IP camera with a 10/100 Mbps RJ45 Ethernet interface. It supports IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet, allowing a suitable PoE switch or injector to provide power through the network cable. Alternatively, the camera can operate from a 12V DC supply within the manufacturer’s specified tolerance.

Video compression options include Tiandy S+265, H.265 and H.264. These formats help control the bandwidth and storage requirements of recorded video, with actual storage consumption depending on the selected codec, resolution, frame rate, bitrate and recording schedule.

The camera supports ONVIF Profiles S and T, RTSP streaming and Tiandy’s Easy7 video management software. Tiandy also lists EasyLive Plus for mobile access. Its documented P2P and ONVIF operating modes are mutually exclusive, so the intended recorder integration or remote-access method should be considered when configuring the camera.

A built-in microphone provides an audio source alongside the video stream, subject to the recording system’s audio configuration and support.

For exposed installations, the camera has an IP67 ingress-protection rating and a metal-and-plastic housing. It is specified for operation from -30°C to +60°C, making it suitable for appropriately installed outdoor surveillance. The adjustable mounting arrangement allows the camera to be positioned for the required viewing direction.

With its combination of wide-angle Full HD coverage, low-light colour performance, white-light illumination and PoE connectivity, the TC-C32QV 2FNA-28 is particularly relevant to CCTV installations prioritising colour information at night rather than extended-range monochrome infrared viewing.
