Ajax NVR DC | 8 & 16 Channel Options | Low Voltage 9–16V DC

The Ajax NVR DC is a low-voltage network video recorder designed for Ajax video surveillance systems and compatible third-party IP cameras. Powered by 9–16 V DC, it is ideal for installations where a central low-voltage power supply or backup power arrangement is preferred instead of a standard mains-powered recorder.

Available in 8-channel and 16-channel options, the Ajax NVR DC provides reliable video recording, live viewing and archive access through the Ajax app. It supports Ajax cameras as well as ONVIF and RTSP-compatible IP cameras, making it suitable for both new Ajax surveillance installations and selected upgrade projects.

Two Models:

Choose between the 8-channel NVR DC (for up to 8 cameras) or the 16-channel NVR DC  version (for up to 16 cameras). For larger surveillance systems, up to 14 NVRs per account can be added allowing you to manage up to 220 cameras across a single system. This scalability makes the Ajax NVR ideal for both residential and commercial use.

Low-Voltage DC Power

The NVR DC is powered by 9–16 V DC making it a practical choice for installations where the recorder needs to operate from a low-voltage power system, battery backup setup or centralised DC power supply.

Network Camera Connectivity

The Ajax NVR DC connects to the network via Ethernet and works with Ajax cameras and compatible ONVIF/RTSP IP cameras. PoE cameras require a separate PoE switch or PoE power supply as the NVR DC does not include built-in PoE camera ports.

The NVR DC differs from the standard Ajax NVR by using a low-voltage DC power input, making it suitable for installations where the recorder is powered from a compatible DC power supply, battery backup system or low-voltage security power setup.

Advanced Motion Detection:

Customise specific zones within the camera’s field of view to trigger recordings only when movement occurs in selected areas. This feature helps to avoid unnecessary recordings of irrelevant motion, such as swaying vegetation or distant passers-by.

Video Storage and Archiving:

The NVR DC supports internal surveillance hard drives of up to 16TB, providing ample space for long-term video retention. Customisable video walls allow for streamlined monitoring, but please note that the hard drive is not included in the box.

Fanless Design for Silent Operation:

The fanless design ensures quiet operation making the NVR suitable for indoor environments without causing noise disturbances.

Standalone Operation:

The Ajax NVR operates independently of the Ajax Hub, meaning you don’t need additional hardware to run the system via the Ajax app.
