Description
TP-Link Deco BE65 BE9300 Mesh Wi-Fi 7 for Multi-Gigabit Whole-Home Networking
The TP-Link Deco BE65 combines tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with four 2.5 Gbps Ethernet ports per unit, making it well suited to homes and small offices that want fast wireless connectivity without giving up multi-gigabit wired connections.
Deco units work together as one mesh network, allowing you to start with a single unit or choose a multi-pack for broader coverage. Wi-Fi 7 technologies including Multi-Link Operation, 320 MHz channel bandwidth and 4K-QAM can provide additional performance when the connected client also supports those features.
Choose the Right Option
| Pack Size | Best suited to |
|---|---|
| 1-Pack | A single high-performance Deco node, replacing a router or expanding an existing compatible Deco mesh |
| 2-Pack | Homes or offices that need mesh coverage across more than one area or floor |
| 3-Pack | Larger or more challenging layouts where three mesh nodes provide greater placement flexibility |
Actual coverage and wireless performance depend on building materials, interference, client capabilities, node placement and the speed of your internet connection.
Is This Right for You?
- Choose the Deco BE65 if you have Wi-Fi 7 devices or want a network ready for newer 6 GHz and MLO-capable clients.
- It is particularly useful where multi-gigabit Ethernet is important, as every Deco unit provides four 2.5 Gbps WAN/LAN ports.
- Existing Deco owners can add BE65 units to a compatible Deco mesh rather than replacing the entire network.
- If your broadband, network switches and client devices are limited to lower speeds, they can limit the real-world performance available from the BE65.
How It Works
One Deco connects to your internet connection and additional Deco units communicate through wireless backhaul, Ethernet backhaul or a combination of wired and wireless links. The units operate as one Deco mesh with a common Wi-Fi network, while compatible clients can roam between nodes as you move through the property.
Why Choose This Product?
- Tri-band Wi-Fi 7: Dedicated 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz operation provides more wireless capacity for a busy network and gives compatible newer devices access to the 6 GHz band.
- Four 2.5 Gbps ports per unit: Connect multi-gigabit internet, computers, switches, storage or other wired devices without being restricted to standard Gigabit Ethernet at the Deco node.
- Multi-Link Operation: Compatible Wi-Fi 7 clients can use links across multiple bands and channels to improve throughput, latency and connection reliability.
- Flexible mesh backhaul: Use wireless backhaul where cabling is impractical, Ethernet where suitable network cabling is available, or combined backhaul where supported.
- Works with the Deco ecosystem: Deco BE65 can form a mesh network with other Deco models, making future expansion easier.
- Deco app and HomeShield: App-based management provides network controls and TP-Link HomeShield features, with some advanced HomeShield services requiring a paid plan.
Before You Buy
- The Deco BE65 does not itself supply an internet service. Depending on your ISP, a compatible modem, fibre ONT or other upstream internet connection may be required.
- Wi-Fi 7 features such as MLO, 320 MHz channels and 4K-QAM require compatible client devices. Older Wi-Fi devices remain supported but cannot use features their hardware does not support.
- 320 MHz channel bandwidth is used on the 6 GHz band and availability can vary according to regional spectrum restrictions.
- Each Ethernet port is WAN/LAN auto-sensing; only one port on a Deco unit can operate as the WAN connection at a time.
- Internet speeds above 1 Gbps require a suitable ISP service, upstream equipment and cabling in addition to the Deco’s 2.5 Gbps ports.
- The supplied technical documentation specifies the Deco BE65 for indoor use.
