Reliable 180° outdoor perimeter detection for wireless alarm integration

The Takex TX-114FR(R) is a battery-operated outdoor PIR detector designed for perimeter and external area protection where running cable is difficult or impractical. Its dual-zone design, wide 180° coverage and flexible adjustment options make it well suited to gate areas, driveways, passages, yards and building perimeters. It is designed to work with compatible wireless transmitters for cleaner installations in remote or hard-to-cable locations.

Wide 180° outdoor coverage 

The TX-114FR provides up to 12 m detection with a wide 180° coverage pattern, helping cover broad approach areas with a single detector.

Dual-zone detection system

This model uses upper and lower sensor zones and supports AND / OR detection modes. This gives more control over how alarms are triggered and helps fine-tune performance for the installation environment.

Adjustable protection area

Detection distance is adjustable from 2 m to 12 m, and the sensor heads allow ±90° horizontal adjustment, making it easier to shape the protected area to suit walls, passages, entrances and open yard sections.

Low-power battery operation

With very low current draw of 35 μA in detection mode, the unit is suitable for battery-powered wireless applications using 3V to 9V DC alkaline or lithium battery supply.

Tamper and output flexibility

The detector provides selectable N/O or N/C solid-state outputs for alarm and tamper functions. It also includes front tamper and back tamper monitoring for improved security on the installation.

Built for outdoor use

An IP54 housing and support for wall or pole mounting make it a practical choice for external security applications.
