The Tiandy TC-C382V is an 8MP dual-sensor panoramic IP camera designed to monitor a wide area with a single 180° horizontal view. Tiandy TC-C382V 8MP Fixed Polar Day Panoramic IP Camera

The Tiandy TC-C382V is designed for surveillance locations where seeing the full width of an area is more important than concentrating on a narrow section. Using two 1/2.7-inch CMOS image sensors and fixed 2.8mm lenses, this Pro Series camera provides a panoramic image with a horizontal viewing angle of 180° ±10°. This makes it particularly useful for monitoring wide building entrances, forecourts, parking areas and extended frontages without dividing the scene between several conventional cameras.

The combined panoramic image reaches 4640 × 1728 pixels at up to 25fps, providing approximately 8MP of image detail across an unusually wide frame. The camera’s F1.0 lenses and 120dB wide dynamic range help preserve usable footage in difficult lighting, including entrances where bright outdoor light and darker shaded areas appear in the same image.

Panoramic coverage does involve a trade-off: image detail is spread across a much wider scene than with a conventional narrow-angle camera. Tiandy’s published DORI figures are 56m for detection, 22m for observation, 11m for recognition and 5.6m for identification under standard test conditions. For locations requiring facial identification at greater distances, an additional camera with a narrower field of view may be appropriate.

Warm-Light Surveillance and Intelligent Detection

The TC-C382V combines highly sensitive imaging with three integrated white LEDs rated for illumination up to 15m. Its minimum colour illumination specification is 0.0001 lux at F1.0 with automatic gain control enabled. The warm-light system provides additional illumination when conditions require it, supporting colour footage in poorly lit areas.

Rather than relying only on basic pixel-change motion detection, the camera supports intelligent classification of people and vehicles. Tripwire and perimeter detection allow surveillance rules to be configured around important areas or boundaries. Supported event responses include recording, image capture, audible warnings and activation of the warm light.

A built-in microphone and loudspeaker provide two-way audio, allowing operators to hear activity and communicate through supported monitoring software. These capabilities make the camera useful for locations where visual monitoring and an immediate audible response are both valuable.

Recording, Network Integration and Installation

The camera connects to a wired network through a 10/100Mbps Ethernet interface and supports ONVIF Profiles S, T, G and M, along with RTSP and Tiandy’s Easy7 VMS software. Remote access is supported through EasyLive Plus. Integration with a particular third-party NVR should be checked against that recorder’s supported camera functions, especially when panoramic display, two-way audio or intelligent detection are required.

For local recording, the TC-C382V accepts microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC cards up to 512GB. A compatible microSD memory card is purchased separately. S+265, H.265 and H.264 compression options help manage storage requirements and network bandwidth.

Installation requires a wired Ethernet connection and either an appropriate IEEE 802.3at PoE power source or 12V DC supply. The metal-and-plastic housing carries an IP67 protection rating and is specified for operating temperatures from -40°C to +65°C, making it suitable for demanding outdoor surveillance installations.
