  • Wide-area monitoring: approximately 190° horizontal panoramic field of view, with a separate 25× optical zoom and 16× digital zoom for detailed observation.
  • Night surveillance: up to 150 m infrared illumination on the detail camera, plus white-light illumination up to 30 m.
  • Intelligent detection: human and vehicle classification, automatic tracking, perimeter analytics and Auto Early Warning (AEW).
  • PTZ control: continuous 360° horizontal rotation, 500 presets, patrol routes and programmed scanning patterns.
  • Video and storage: S+265/H.265/H.264 compression, ONVIF support and microSD recording up to 512 GB (memory card sold separately).
  • Outdoor construction: IP66 protection, operating temperatures from -30°C to +65°C and a metal-and-plastic housing.
  • Power requirements: 24 V AC, 24 V DC or IEEE 802.3bt PoE, with maximum power consumption of 55 W. A suitably rated power source is required.

Description

Tiandy TC-H366V – 6MP Panoramic 25× AEW PTZ Camera

Conventional PTZ cameras face a familiar surveillance challenge: when the lens zooms in to investigate activity, the operator loses sight of much of the surrounding area. The Tiandy TC-H366V addresses this with two complementary imaging systems in one camera assembly. A fixed panoramic camera monitors the wider scene, while a separate motorised PTZ camera provides detailed views of selected targets.

This arrangement is particularly useful for monitoring large entrances, industrial premises, yards, vehicle movements and extended perimeters. The panoramic camera provides a broad overview, while the PTZ camera can concentrate on activity requiring closer inspection.

Panoramic Awareness with 25× Optical Zoom

The upper panoramic imaging system uses a 1/1.8-inch CMOS sensor and captures images at up to 3840 × 1568 pixels, approximately 6 megapixels. Its horizontal field of view is approximately 190° (±10°), allowing a substantial area to remain visible without continuously moving the camera.

The lower detail camera uses a separate 1/2.7-inch CMOS sensor, delivering 2560 × 1440 (4MP) resolution at up to 30 frames per second. Its motorised 4.8–120 mm lens provides 25× optical zoom, with an additional 16× digital zoom available.

Unlike digital enlargement alone, optical zoom changes the lens magnification to capture distant subjects with greater detail. The PTZ mechanism supports continuous 360° horizontal rotation, vertical positioning from -16° to +90°, and up to 500 programmable presets. Operators can configure patrol routes, scanning patterns and scheduled surveillance movements.

Automatic Tracking and Active Early Warning

The TC-H366V integrates Auto Early Warning (AEW) with intelligent video analytics. Human and vehicle classification helps distinguish relevant movement from general scene activity, while configurable perimeter rules support automated event detection.

Automatic tracking enables the detail camera to follow detected targets within its operating and viewing limits. This reduces the need for constant manual PTZ control and helps operators maintain attention on activity identified by the surveillance system.

Early-warning responses can include audible alerts through the built-in speaker and activation of the camera’s white-light illumination. The camera also supports event-triggered recording, image capture and alarm output, allowing a security installation to respond to configured detection events.

Additional analytics include tripwire and perimeter detection, with advanced functions such as loitering, people counting, face capture and safety-helmet detection available through the detail camera’s supported analytics.

Monitoring After Dark

The panoramic camera has a specified minimum illumination of 0.0001 lux, while the detail camera is rated at 0.001 lux. These low-light capabilities help maintain usable surveillance imagery under very limited ambient illumination.

For dark conditions, the detail camera incorporates infrared illumination with a manufacturer-rated reach of up to 150 metres. The adjustable infrared illumination works with the zoom system to support distant observation at night.

White-light illumination extends up to 30 metres on both the panoramic and detail imaging systems. This provides additional visible illumination and supports the camera’s active-warning functions. The detail camera also incorporates 120 dB wide dynamic range to manage scenes containing strong differences between bright and shaded areas.

Professional Network Integration and Installation

The TC-H366V is designed for wired IP surveillance systems. It includes a Gigabit-capable RJ45 Ethernet interface and supports ONVIF Profiles S, T, G and M, along with RTSP and Tiandy’s Easy7 video management platform. Integration with a particular recorder should be checked against that recorder’s supported camera streams, analytics and PTZ functions.

Local recording is supported through a microSD, microSDHC or microSDXC card with a maximum capacity of 512 GB. The memory card is purchased separately. S+265 and H.265 compression help manage network bandwidth and recorded video storage requirements.

The camera can operate from 24 V AC, 24 V DC or an IEEE 802.3bt PoE power source. With power consumption reaching 55 W, the installation requires a correctly rated supply or compatible high-power PoE equipment; an ordinary low-power PoE port is not sufficient.

Its IP66-rated enclosure provides dust protection and resistance to powerful water jets for outdoor installation. The camera measures approximately 298 mm in diameter and 375 mm in height, with a net mass of 5.33 kg. These dimensions and weight should be considered when selecting suitable structural mounting hardware.

For installations where a permanently available wide-area view and detailed motorised observation are both important, the TC-H366V provides those functions in one integrated surveillance device rather than relying on a conventional single-view PTZ camera.
