The Commax DP-2S/DR-2K provides straightforward voice communication between your entrance and an indoor answering point. Designed for a single entrance, this 1:1 audio intercom kit is a practical choice for houses, small offices and reception areas where visitors need to announce themselves before being allowed inside.

The kit combines a white DP-2S wall-mounted handset with a dark-grey DR-2K entrance station. Visitors press the outdoor call button, and you answer using the indoor handset. A dedicated door-release button can also operate a connected electric lock when the appropriate locking equipment and power supply are installed.

How It Works

When someone presses the call button on the DR-2K entrance station, the indoor DP-2S handset sounds a chime. Lift the handset to speak with the visitor. If an electric lock is connected, pressing the door-release button activates the unlocking function.

The entrance station communicates with the handset using two non-polarity wires. Electric door-release operation requires additional wiring and a separate power source for the lock.
