The Zartek ZA-711 is a compact professional VHF handheld radio designed for teams that need dependable voice communication without relying on cellular networks. Its 136–174 MHz operating range, 16-channel capacity and selectable 1 W or 5 W transmit power make it suitable for security operations, farms, factories, hospitality, events and other organised radio networks.

A valid ICASA radio frequency spectrum licence is required to operate the ZA-711 in South Africa. The radio must be programmed with the frequencies allocated to the licence before transmitting and should not be purchased as a licence-free alternative.

• ICASA licence required: the ZA-711 operates on licensed VHF spectrum and is not a licence-free two-way radio.
• The radio must be programmed with frequencies allocated under the applicable ICASA licence before transmitting.
• When adding the ZA-711 to an existing radio fleet, the transmit and receive frequencies and any CTCSS/DCS tones must be configured to match the authorised system.
• PC programming is supported, but compatible programming equipment and the applicable programming software are separate requirements when configuration is needed.
• The radio uses a detachable VHF antenna and a 2-pin side accessory connection.
• A rechargeable 1100 mAh Li-ion battery, desktop charging equipment and mains adaptor are supplied with the radio.
