Tapo C615F KIT Solar-Powered Floodlight Pan/Tilt Security Camera (3MP)
R2,049.00 Incl. VAT
The Tapo C615F KIT combines a 2K 3MP security camera, 800-lumen floodlight and solar charging in one wire-free outdoor security system. It monitors entrances, driveways and gardens without requiring a permanent mains power connection, while intelligent tracking follows movement across the monitored area.
- 800-lumen smart floodlight: Adjustable brightness and direction, with motion-activated or manual lighting through the Tapo app.
- 2K 3MP camera with 360° coverage: Captures detailed 2304 × 1296 video and automatically tracks people, pets and vehicles.
- Solar-powered operation: Includes the Tapo A201 solar panel and rechargeable battery. Just 45 minutes of direct sunlight can support a day’s operation under TP-Link’s specified test conditions.
- 24/7 Capture: Records at intervals between events and increases the recording frame rate when activity occurs, providing more context than motion-only recording.
- Night vision and deterrence: Full-colour night vision using the floodlight, infrared night vision up to 10 m, two-way audio and sound/light alarms.
- Flexible recording and outdoor protection: Supports microSD cards up to 512 GB, optional Tapo Care cloud storage and IP65-rated camera and solar panel.
Before installation: Requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, the Tapo app and suitable direct sunlight for the solar panel. A microSD card, USB mains adaptor and pole-mounting loops are sold separately.

Description
Tapo C615F KIT – Solar-Powered Floodlight Pan/Tilt Security Camera

A security camera can show you what’s happening outside. The Tapo C615F KIT goes further by combining 2K video surveillance, intelligent movement tracking and an adjustable 800-lumen floodlight in one solar-powered system.
Use it to monitor a driveway, entrance, courtyard or garden without installing permanent electrical wiring. The included solar panel charges the camera’s built-in battery, while the Tapo app gives you control over lighting, recordings and security notifications.

A Floodlight That Illuminates, a Camera That Follows
The 800-lumen floodlight provides powerful outdoor illumination with a 4000 K neutral-white colour temperature. Adjust its brightness through the Tapo app, activate it automatically when movement occurs or switch it on manually.
Unlike a fixed security light, the floodlight offers 240° horizontal and 10° vertical adjustment. You can direct the illumination towards an entrance, parking area or pathway without changing the camera’s viewing position.
Meanwhile, the camera captures 2K 3MP video (2304 × 1296) and automatically follows detected people, pets and vehicles. Its motorised movement provides 360° horizontal viewing coverage, helping it track activity beyond a fixed camera’s field of view.
At night, the floodlight enables colour video in illuminated conditions. Alternatively, infrared LEDs provide night vision up to 10 m without visible white lighting.

Solar Power – Position the Camera Where You Need It
The C615F KIT includes the Tapo A201 solar panel and a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This removes the need for a permanent electrical connection at the camera.
Install the panel alongside the camera for a compact arrangement. Alternatively, use the supplied solar extension cable to position the panel where it receives better sunlight. This is particularly useful when the best camera viewing position is shaded.
Under TP-Link’s laboratory conditions, 45 minutes of direct sunlight can support one day’s operation with up to 100 triggered events. The manufacturer also quotes up to 140 days of battery life without solar charging, based on approximately five minutes of daily use.
Actual endurance depends on sunlight, recording frequency, movement and floodlight usage. Frequent lighting activation consumes additional energy, so good solar panel positioning is particularly important for this model.

24/7 Capture – Understand What Happened Between Motion Events
Conventional battery cameras often record only when their motion sensors trigger. The C615F offers something different with 24/7 Capture.
Between detected events, the camera can record at a reduced frame rate. TP-Link illustrates this at 1 frame per second (fps). When activity occurs, recording increases to 15 fps in the manufacturer’s example.
This provides additional context between movement events while conserving battery power. However, it is not the same as conventional uninterrupted, full-frame-rate CCTV recording. More frequent capture also increases power consumption.
For additional monitoring flexibility, the camera supports scheduled panoramic scanning and patrol functions. These allow it to inspect different directions or selected viewpoints, subject to the manufacturer’s daily scanning limits.
Local Recording, Security Alerts and Everyday Control
Store recordings on a microSD card up to 512 GB without requiring a cloud subscription. Alternatively, Tapo Care offers optional subscription-based cloud recording and additional notification features.
Free AI detection distinguishes people, pets and vehicles. You can also configure activity zones, receive mobile alerts and communicate through the built-in microphone and speaker.
When required, activate the camera’s sound and light alarm for additional deterrence. The Tapo app also provides live viewing, lighting controls and camera settings.
What to Know Before Installation
- Wi-Fi: Requires reliable 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi coverage at the installation location.
- Solar charging: Position the panel where it receives suitable direct sunlight. Shading and frequent floodlight use affect battery endurance.
- Mounting: Supports wall and ceiling installation. Pole mounting requires additional mounting loops, which are not included.
- Weather resistance: Both the camera and solar panel have an IP65 rating for outdoor installation.
- USB charging: Supports 5 V / 2 A USB-C charging. A mains USB adaptor is not included.
