Description
RoboGuard Alarm Interface
Integrate RoboGuard into an existing alarm system
The RoboGuard Alarm Interface is a fixed interface unit designed to connect RoboGuard wireless outdoor detectors to an existing alarm panel. It can supervise and monitor up to four RoboGuards and provides individual indication for intruder detection, tamper and status conditions, making it a practical solution for sites that need early warning from outdoor beams while still using a conventional alarm system.
Designed for clear status indication and easier fault finding
The unit uses dedicated LEDs to show the condition of each programmed guard. Each zone can be switched on or off individually, while tamper and status monitoring remain active even if a zone is disabled. The manual also notes an automatic supervision routine, where RoboGuard devices send an auto-test signal every 20 minutes. If a unit fails to report in, the Alarm Interface indicates a possible communication or battery issue through the status LED.
Flexible relay outputs for panel integration
The Alarm Interface includes six relay switches, with normally open and normally closed options, allowing it to be integrated with a wide range of alarm panels and related devices. It is powered from 12 V DC and is intended to be mounted close to the alarm panel and as high as possible for good RF range.
A practical option for expanding a RoboGuard installation
RoboGuard’s product page describes the Alarm Interface as a 4-zone, 4-output fixed base station used to interface RoboGuards into an existing alarm panel, and notes that it is also suitable for larger installations that require more than 8 guards.
