Description
Duke Pepper Storm Kit (±130dB | 4-5 seconds detonation)
The Duke Pepper Storm Kit is a throwable signal and pepper dispersion device designed for controlled personal safety and deterrence applications. The unit combines a powerful audible output of approximately ±130 dB with a 360-degree dispersion of high-performance pepper powder, reaching up to approximately 5 metres from the activation point.
Upon activation, the Pepper Storm creates a loud sonic output while simultaneously dispersing pepper powder evenly around the blast point. The formulation delivers significant hang-time, allowing the pepper to remain suspended in the air for longer periods, increasing its effectiveness even against determined or moving targets.
The device features a non-pyrotechnical, non-lethal design and forms part of a reusable core system allowing continued use with compatible accessories rather than full unit replacement. It is intended for controlled and responsible use where strong audible alerting and area deterrence are required.

Difference Between the Duke Sonic Boom and the Sonic Boom Tripwire Kit
Although both products use the same Pepper Storm device, they are activated in completely different ways and are designed for different purposes.
Pepper Storm Kit – Hand-Deployed
- The ring is pulled out and the top of the device is slammed to activate it.
- After activation, it detonates in 3–5 seconds releasing a powerful burst of pepper powder along with a loud sonic shock to disorient and disperse intruders.
- This version is intended to be thrown towards a threat making it suitable for personal defence or controlled deployment.
Pepper Storm Tripwire Kit – Static Area Defence
- This version does not require slamming.
- It comes with a tripwire cord and mounting clips.
- When the tripwire cord is pulled, the device detonates immediately.
- Designed for securing entrances, gates, corridors or perimeter points where an intruder may pass.
In summary:
- The throwable kit is activated manually and used as a throwable device with a timed delay.
- The Tripwire Kit is automatically triggered when the cord pulls the tripwire ring out providing hands-free, static protection for fixed locations.
