Yes. IndoorCam connects seamlessly to the Ajax ecosystem via the Ajax app. When paired with a compatible Ajax hub, it can use Jeweller and Wings radio channels as backup for signalling and event delivery if Wi-Fi goes offline.

Can the camera record without the internet?

Yes, when used with an Ajax NVR (network video recorder), IndoorCam stores footage locally on the NVR’s drive. Cloud recording via the Ajax Cloud service requires an internet connection.

Does the camera work independently without a hub?

IndoorCam can function over Wi-Fi for live streaming and motion detection using the Ajax app. However, integration with Ajax hubs adds redundancy and advanced automation.

How secure is the video transmission?

Ajax uses its proprietary JetSparrow encrypted protocol along with mTLS authentication, Secure Boot and signed firmware updates ensuring complete end-to-end encryption and privacy protection.

Can I create privacy zones?

Yes. You can mask up to four specific areas within the camera’s field of view so that motion and recording are disabled in those zones.

Does the IndoorCam support ONVIF?
