Ajax Gate & Garage Door Alarm Kit

Protect your property with our wireless Ajax Gate Alarm Kit, designed to detect unauthorised openings of driveway and pedestrian gates, garage doors, roller shutters, trap doors and other entry points.

This kit seamlessly integrates with your Ajax Security System providing instant alerts via the Ajax app whenever a gate or door is opened while armed.

The Gate Alarm Kit must be armed to operate and disarmed when access is required. For added convenience, you can create automation scenarios within the Ajax app to automatically arm or disarm the device at specific times.

Which Option to Select?

Choose the Ajax DoorProtect kit for a compact and cost-effective solution suited to most standard installations, keeping in mind that wiring is a little more delicate and may require joining or soldering the roller shutter contact wires to the DoorProtect leads.

The Ajax Transmitter kit offers easier, cleaner wiring with dedicated terminals for the roller shutter contact, plus additional terminals for an optional tamper circuit.

Both kits include protective enclosures, so the best choice depends on whether you prefer a simpler budget-friendly setup or easier wiring with added tamper functionality.

Kit Components

⇒ Roller Shutter Magnetic Contact N/C

The Roller Shutter Magnetic Contact N/C is a robust, surface-mounted magnetic contact designed for monitoring roller shutters, gates, garage doors and other outdoor access points. It connects to either an Ajax DoorProtect or Ajax Transmitter allowing the device to be integrated into the Ajax ecosystem.

The Ajax DoorProtect can be connected to a N/O third-party detector using the supplied wired terminal that plugs into the back of the device. In this kit, the DoorProtect is fitted inside an enclosure for added protection against the elements and wired to the Roller Shutter magnetic contact.

For larger access points such as garage doors and roller shutters, the heavy-duty aluminium magnetic contact is better suited thanks to its wider magnetic field.

The DoorProtect is powered by 1 × CR123A battery and, when the system is disarmed, the Ajax app clearly shows whether the door or gate is open or closed.

The Ajax Transmitter is designed to integrate wired third-party devices into the Ajax ecosystem. In this kit, it is installed inside an enclosure for added protection against the elements and is wired to the Roller Shutter magnetic contact.

The Transmitter offers a simple wiring method with dedicated terminals for connecting the magnetic contact. This makes it a practical choice for gates, garage doors, roller shutters and other larger access points where neat, secure terminations are preferred.

The Ajax Transmitter includes 3 × CR123A batteries, features secure wired terminals for easy integration and also includes a tamper input for optional added protection.

Ajax Mobile App Setup

The Gate Alarm can be armed and disarmed together with the rest of the system or can be controlled completely independently by creating its own group (partition). When the gates, garage doors or access other points are opened while armed, system users and armed response companies are immediately notified along with any connected sirens to scare off intruders.
