The Securi-Prod 7Ah 12.8V Lithium (LiFePO₄) Battery is a modern, high-performance replacement for traditional lead-acid, gel and deep-cycle batteries in compatible applications. Designed for reliability, safety and long service life, this battery delivers consistent power with significantly reduced weight and zero maintenance.

Lithium Iron Phosphate technology offers superior thermal stability and safety compared to other lithium chemistries making it well-suited for security, backup power and low-to-medium current applications where efficiency and longevity are critical.

Long Lifespan
LiFePO₄ batteries offer an exceptionally long cycle life of over 3000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge without noticeable performance degradation. Charging Compatibility Notice – Important

Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries have different charging requirements compared to lead-acid, AGM and gel batteries.

LiFePO₄ batteries require a higher and properly regulated charging current managed by the battery’s internal Battery Management System (BMS). Many gate motors, alarm panels, electric fence energizers and backup power supplies are designed to charge lead-acid batteries using very low trickle-charge currents (typically in the milliamp range).

As a result:

• ✔ Lithium batteries can operate in many gate motors, alarms and similar systems
• ⚠ Charging may be very slow, incomplete or inconsistent
• ⚠ In some systems, the battery may not charge at all despite functioning normally during discharge

This behaviour is charging-related, not a battery fault.

Recommended Charging Practice

• Use a dedicated LiFePO₄ lithium battery charger where possible
• Systems with low-current or lead-acid-only charging circuits may not reliably recharge lithium batteries
• Always verify that the device or charger explicitly supports LiFePO₄ charging profiles

Lithium batteries are best suited to systems that can deliver sufficient charging current and correct voltage thresholds.

Terminal Compatibility Note

Securi-Prod LiFePO₄ batteries are fitted with F2 (6.35mm) terminals which are larger than standard F1 (4.75mm) connectors commonly used in alarm systems, gate motors and chargers.

✔ F2 to F1 step-down terminal adapters are included with the battery.
